Two Swiffers and a Little Wonder
How I Made Window Cleaning Easy (Without Fancy Gadgets)

I hate cleaning windows.
There. I’ve said it. π
And the problem is, our house has LOTS of windows. (What you see here is just one “side” of my “problem”.
Big windows. Tall windows. Windows everywhere …even inside the house.
And I absolutely LOVE having clean windows, but actually cleaning them?
Not so much.
For years, cleaning the windows has been one of those jobs that takes practically an entire day. So, naturally, I’ve developed a rather sophisticated strategy for dealing with dirty windows.
I ignore them.
For as long as humanly possible. Occasionally, I even hope they’ll somehow clean themselves… unfortunately, that strategy has never worked. π
But then I had an idea. Why not Wonderate about it?

So, I wondered…
Hmmm… I wonder what it would take to find an easy way to keep my windows clean.
Hmmm… I wonder who could show me how to clean windows like a professional.
Hmmm… I wonder what it would feel like to have beautifully clean windows every day.
Hmmm… I wonder why things always turn out so well for me.
And then?
I went on with my day.

A couple of days later, I was chatting with my good friend Carmel, and somehow, we got talking about my window-cleaning problem.
I told her I had practically every window-cleaning gadget imaginable. A KΓ€rcher window cleaner, professional window-cleaning equipment… even a robot that washes windows!
And still, I hadn’t found a way to make the job easy.
And still, I hadn’t found a way to make the job easy.
“Cleaning windows? I use a Swiffer! It makes it soooo easy!”
A Swiffer?
βThe thing you use to dust the floor?β I asked.
βYes! That’s the one!β
Well, that was something I hadn’t thought of. So I went out and got myself a Swiffer.

And… it worked!
So well, in fact, that I bought another one. π

Now I use two Swiffers. One with a damp microfiber cloth, using warm water, a little vinegar, and a drop of dishwashing liquid. And another with a dry microfiber cloth to dry the glass.

Simple. Easy.
Window cleaning is actually quite fun!
And suddenly, a job that used to take me practically an entire day takes just a couple of hours.
No complicated equipment. No fancy window-cleaning robot.
Just two Swiffers and a little advice from a friend. π
Now, did my Wonderation somehow cause Carmel to mention the Swiffer?
I don’t know. And I don’t need to know.
What I do know is that I wondered about an easier way, went on with my life, had an ordinary conversation, and discovered a solution I hadn’t thought of before.
And that’s exactly the kind of thing I love noticing.

Sometimes the possibilities we haven’t imagined are hiding in the most ordinary conversations.
And sometimes, they come with a microfiber cloth attached. ππ
You wonder. You live. …and you notice how life can support you in millions of ways.
Hmmm… I wonder what else could be easier than I think… β¨
